History

The firm was established in 1985 and rapidly extended its client’s base which was further enhanced in 1987 when the firm incorporated the practice of B A Hillen, Solicitor. We are a firm that offers a wide range of services to cater for both the needs of the individual and commercial client. Our aim is to provide a first class service to all our clients with an emphasis on efficiently, expertise and customer satisfaction.

We have a long established client base and pride ourselves in providing a first class professional service. Client satisfaction is our ultimate aim. The firm has two partners and a number of highly dedicated administrative staff who have been with the firm almost from its inception. All cases are personally dealt with by a partner.

Partner Profiles

Philip P. Gallen, LL.B

Philip graduated from the Law Faculty of Queen’s University of Belfast in 1979 and qualified as a solicitor the following year. Having worked for five years in a large city centre practice he then opened his own firm on the Lisburn Road in January 1985.

Philip has twenty seven years experience in private practice. He specialises in conveyancing both private and commercial, litigation, probate and licensing.

Colette M. Fitzpatrick, LL.B

Colette graduated from Queen’s University Belfast in 1985 and was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in Northern Ireland in 1988. Colette has worked for Philip Gallen and Company since 1989 and has since become a partner with the firm.

Colette has a wide and varied practice area and has vast experience in handling all types of claims, buying and selling property and family law including divorce, separation, contact issues and care proceedings relating to children. She is presently on the Children’s Order Panel.
