Housing department budget cut by 10% – 19 January 2015
The Northern Ireland government department responsible for housing has had its funding cut by nearly 10% in today’s budget.
The Department for Social Development (DSD) budget for 2015/16 will be £715m, down from £790.3m, the government announced.
The cut is in line with a reduction suggested in November’s draft budget and means the delivery target for new social homes will be cut from 2,000 to 1,500.
